PhotoFriday – ‘Reflected’

This week’s Photo Friday entry: ’Reflected’

The great thing about being near the surface of the water is the reflections so any marine animal that spends any time near the surface is a great one to photograph. Here are a few examples I hope you’ll enjoy. It works best when the surface of the water is flat calm. Above is a whaleshark from Mexico. Below are a few photos from Raja Ampat (Indonesia) and a manatee from Florida.

PhotoFriday – ‘Liquid’

This week’s Photo Friday entry: ’Liquid’

You’d think with a theme like Liquid that choosing an underwater photo would be a synch. Well actually it was harder than I thought, most underwater photos do no inherently show the liquid nature of the environment. Many are of creatures or scenes. This one however I thought fitted the bill :) This was taken in the blue water mangroves of Indonesia where the leaves break through the surface of the water.
