This week’s Photo Friday entry: ’Mountainous’
This weeks theme is Mountainous so here is a belated post with a photo from our trip to Machu Picchu. One day it’d be nice to go back with a decent camera to do it justice 😉 I’m gutted I missed posting on the week when the theme was Ocean! Doh.

This is the lost city of Machu Picchu and its located 2,430 metres (7,970 ft) above sea level! Machu Picchu, meaning “Old Mountain”, is a pre-Columbian Inca site on a mountain ridge above the Urubamba Valley in Peru. We went there in 2007 and if you get the chance to go then go. Seriously.
Check out other photos from Machu Picchu & sounding areas in my Peru Gallery.

This week’s Photo Friday entry: ‘The Great Outdoors’
Ah.. summer is here so where do we head? Some of us head to Egypt for some lovely Red Sea diving! That’s where I was last Friday and the reason my photo Friday is late (hopefully I’ll get around to a trip report or at least a few photos from that here soon)! Here is my raise to this weeks challenge: the great outdoors. Mike and I don’t really like to get too near the (above water) nature so here is my photo from Peru (Machu Picchu) to prove that we really do go outside sometimes.
