Sorry for the belated photofriday this week (this is being posted on sunday night). I was travelling back from Egypt. I’ve some great new photos in store for you guys. Here is one of a brittlestar on a soft coral that I found on a night dive on the famous Thistlegorm wreck last week.

PhotoFriday – ‘Frog Fish’

As Photofriday.com are taking a Christmas break I thought I’d make up my own topic today – Frog Fish is my theme today (mainly because it never will be on photofriday.com). You can see below how tiny these ones are (my fingers are small too)…

These little guys were all from Bali but you can see Frog fish from large to small all over the world. They pose nicely (usually) secure in the knowledge that you cannot possible see them because they look so much like a sponge.

Ta Phrom Temple – Cambodia

Thought I’d have another go at trying to post process my film scans from Cambodia (from 2002). I took this with a (free gift) panoramic film camera,  just a basic point and shoot (one step up from a disposable). In retrospect I cannot believe I went to such amazing places with such a rubbish camera!

These little fishes got such a rough deal! Since becoming an
underwater photographer I’m not longer able to eat fish without thinking
murderer! Totally hypocritical on my part since I’m not remotely vegetarian and
if calamari looks like onion rings I’m still tempted.

Taken whilst on holiday in the Philippines in March. How could these little guys be ugly ducklings – they are so cute! I couldn’t believe how many little baby animals one gets to see when you stray out of the City 😉

I love to fly, well perhaps not the actual flight part and definitely not the check-in, but I do love to travel. An essential part of travelling abroad is the flight. Until they invent teleporters (and test them because we don’t want to end up like Jeff Goldblum!) air travel is here to stay. Occasionally though, if you get a window seat, the most amazing views unfold! That’s gotta be my favourite part.
